So, here’s the final version.
It’s already been accepted to RedisWhite.com as a possible shirt design for them to print, so now I need to get people to vote for it. Therefore, it’d be great if you could go sign up for an account (it’s pretty easy), and say that you like it. (If you actually do, I guess.)

Here’s the first draft of the basic linework. The butterfly is definitely going to have some sort of pattern… I just haven’t figured out what yet.
Here we go again
Well, I’m messing around with t-shirt designs again. I think this one should be helpful in that it both allows the viewer to assume as much deep meaning as they’re looking for, and also lets me draw insects.
This is just my first rough layout sketch. Many changes to come.
Mermaid
So, I get to be efficient here. Not only is mermaid our current topic for Barefoot Kraken, but it also fits in nicely with this week’s Illustration Friday topic, “Tales and Legends”.
