Portrait of a Bust of a Minotaur
Space Jellyfish
Somewhere in the heavens it lurks—waiting to trap the chance fish ejected into space by the carelessness of the higher-level sentients of the galaxy.
Car o’ Doom
Another J Sherer inspired entry.
Yeti
Inspired by J Sherer’s short story of almost the same name.
Night Fury
Another iPad-based sketch, this one represents the general concept of the night fury. Any canonical inconsistencies may be attributed to working solely from memory.
Group Topic: Cats – Creatures of Mass Destruction
This was actually created using the painting program Brushes on my iPad. Prepare yourself for more of these, as it makes a rather wonderful digital sketchbook.
More Feline Fiendishness:
Grin
Sometimes (er, most of the time) I find myself over-thinking the creation of the final piece. Sure, I’ve been better at letting the sketch phase be fairly free-flowing, but when it comes to the final “inking”, things usually get stressful.
This guy was simply the result of skipping the sketch completely, and attempting to bring that quick carelessness to the final version.
So of course it turned out somewhat creepy. Oh well.
iPhone: Aiolornis Incredibilis
Okay, so it’s really only loosely based on the concept of giant weird extinct bird, therefore having only a passing cartoony resemblance to the real animal.
