Tried out a new painting app for the iPad last week—ArtRage. Unlike other programs, it attempts to simulate real paint behavior, so your “brush” leaves directional streaks that cast shadows in the simulated lighting, and previously-applied paint can mix with what you’re currently putting down. It’s pretty clever, and gives a lot more character to the finished work.
