Birthday the Third

Well, Albino Kraken is now three years old, and contains over 300 illustrations (albeit in various states of completion).
Anyway, I figured that not only was it time for the required birthday kraken, but also a design update was finally in order.
So, here you go.
And remember kids, as the Philosopher once said, “The road to happiness oft leads past cephalopods of large stature and suspect demeanor. Make their acquaintance and shun them not, for true friendship can many a time be found in those of large heart.”
Enterprise (sort of)

Albino Kraken: The Logo

Put this together recently since I didn’t have a nice clean logo I could use on other, um, related materials. I should also probably work it into this site at some point now…
Detour

So, here’s another design entry for Red is White.
Originally I had wanted to do a more literal illustration of the Jonah story, but then Rosemary suggested having an actual x-ray view, which of course immediately bumps us into the realm of the metaphorical. Luckily, though, Jonah’s situation can also be applied to other circumstances, so that’s the direction I went.

Anyway, go take a look at the design, give it a nice rating if you can, and leave a comment if you feel so inclined.
Be warned, however, that my posse of Cyber-Hessians stand ready to rebut any wonton negativity with their own intricate comments on the subject of T-shirt perfection as it relates to whales and/or little bathroom-sign men.
Just thought you should know.
The Sherers

Did this for Jay and Jessica’s wedding – based on both inside jokes and some random inspiration.
AKP: Elfasites

The concepts expressed above are based fairly accurately on those of a real conversation from early last week. It was just random enough to inspire this monstrosity.
Plus, once I’d pictured Aragorn exclaiming exuberantly over a head of lettuce, I simply had no choice in the matter.
iPhone: California Adventure

Fun Fact: I’d always assumed California Adventure’s iconic rock outcropping was supposed to be a wolf, but apparently it’s a bear. I still think it looks more like a wolf, though.
But I guess a bear makes more sense.
