And yes, its scientific name, Vampyroteuthis infernalis, actually translates to vampire squid from hell.
Squid
Trying out another iPad drawing app, this time Paper. It’s more of a “sketching” app, which focuses on just a few specialized colors and tools, but the implementation is clean, simple, and fun to use.
Speedy Nautilus
Speedy’s not simply a description of the cephalopod’s current rate of travel, but also the time (and therefore amount of care) put into this picture.
What I do like is the energy that a bit of fervent carelessness can impart, but I don’t even want to think about how horribly inaccurate this guy is. Oh well, perfectionism loses this time.
Squid Sketch
This took about a minute to whip up in Harmony, a pretty cool online drawing tool. Even if you think you can’t draw, give it a try. Thanks to some self-aware line interaction, it basically makes anything you sketch turn out much more impressive than it has any right to be.
