So anyway, my father-in-law asked me to design the shirt for his MATHCOUNTS team for this year’s competition. The tagline was to be “My Preciousss”, with a picture of Gollum-like hands holding a brain.
This is the first sketch, with a head thrown in just to see how that could look.
Albert began to get distinctly nervous.

Just in case the photocopied PowerPoint slide didn’t give it away, this began life on a handout during a class presentation. (Colored later, though.)
When it comes to back-story, however, I’m not sure if she’s deadly with her weapon of choice, or merely thwacky-squeaky. This is something that requires much ponderment.
Okay, the blog software is updated and happily running on the new server.
