I feel I must go on record and point out that despite the evidence presented by these comments regarding the cuteness of the platypus, I did not, in fact, hire Rachel to draw it for me, nor outsource the cute bits to her. I didn’t even steal her pencil. Technically.

Did you know the platypus is one the world’s few venomous mammals? The male has a spur on the hind foot, which delivers a poison capable of causing severe pain to humans.* Now if that’s not cute, I don’t know what is.
