That’s right folks. With the redesign comes not only new colors and a new header, but a new name (and domain name – take a look at the URL). And while I, for one, cannot doubt the absolute clarity that a title like Nathan’s Blog brought to this website, I also knew that it was, to put it bluntly, hideously boring.
This is less boring, hopefully.
There is no way I’d be able to assume it was supposed to albino exept that you had said something, as most cephalopods are white anyway.
Ah, but the red eye should be a give-away. Besides, there’s the interesting fact that as cephalopods approach the size of ships, their coloring seems to darken to more of a grey or green, as evidenced by many movies.
This can most likely be attributed to the krakens’ desire to be mistaken for large slimy seabound rocks with flailing tentacles, thus drawing in unwary and utterly confused sailors. Unfortunately, those lacking the proper pigment are at a significant disadvantage in this regard, and must rely instead on pretending to be icebergs.
But what happens if they don’t live in waters commonly populated with icebergs?
Exactly–that’s the problem, especially since most sailors try to stay away from icebergs anyway. At that point the kraken usually just has to hope that the sailors are not only unwary and utterly confused, but completely drunk.
