Dragon Trainer
July 23rd, 2008

A Delta IV Heavy rocket that I did for Dad’s birthday.

(Also, here’s the initial sketch.)

Back from vacation, so here’s something somewhat appropriate… There were a lot of dragonflies in Minnesota.

Here we have an illustration for the excellent first part of Caleb’s story, Agatha’s Hatchet, in which there is an attempted crumpet-pilfering, evil aunts are revealed, and an embarrassment of a nephew is attached to a tree with duct tape.
Also, as I’m going to be on vacation for the next week and a half, updates shall be suspended until sometime after July 9th.

Here’s the first of probably three follow-ups to the hurdler a few posts down.
I decided to add black to hurdler’s track suit so he didn’t look quite so naked, and for a little more variation in the design. This also meant that I could start using filled black areas as part of the style, as in the cyclist’s suit.
Since this week’s Illustration Friday topic is “punchline”, I figured it was a good time to post my latest comic.
